About
I am a researcher and art archivist. My work explores visual arts in and of Palestine. I have previously worked as a digitization manager at the Palestinian Museum Digital Archive project and as an assistant researcher at Muwatin Institute for Democracy and Human Rights. I am also a failed musician. I cofounded Bil3aX band which released its only album “12 Richter” in 2014.
Currently, I am doing my PhD in Anthropology at the University of Toronto. My doctoral research investigates the social life of Palestine’s art. Exploring the biographies of artworks, my research offers an examination of art and politics that moves beyond the political connotations of art toward an examination of the politics of circulation.
